South Fork Boise River Diversion Project

Spearheaded by Elmore County, the South Fork Boise River (SFBR) Diversion Project aims to divert water from Anderson Ranch Reservoir, on the Boise River, to recharge the rapidly depleting aquifer near Mountain Home.

Our Services

The Proposed Project

Elmore County has an existing water right permit to divert 200 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water during flood flow operations from Anderson Ranch Reservoir to Little Camas Reservoir. The water would then flow through an existing canal system to the Mountain Home area where it could be diverted for aquifer recharge in to three approved recharge facilities.
